Beauty brand Clinique has revealed a new non fungible token (NFT) campaign called ‘Metaverse Like Us‘, in partnership with the content and software company Daz 3D, which will have as its main subject matter addressing misrepresentation in the metaverse.

The U.S. beauty products brand and the 3D digital artist are working together to develop and launch 8,888 female and non-binary profile picture avatars that will be part of the first non-fungible makeup token campaign.

Both companies remarked their interest in creating a one-of-a-kind beauty campaign that celebrates communities and highlights their beauty through digital avatars with different make-up looks. Clinique hopes that ‘Metaverse like us’ will further its efforts to build a positive, all-inclusive community.

Featured creators who will be part of this campaign include Tess Daly, Ombré Drama and Sheila Daley.

Each of the makeup artists selected two Non-Fungible People (NFP) looks, with different skin tones, face shapes, hairstyles and makeup that are inspired by real-life Clinique product looks.

As part of the promotion, the creators will use social media to share images of the inspiration behind the chosen makeup looks.

Jessica Rizzuto, SVP of e-commerce at Daz 3D, said: «Our ground-breaking NFT collections, like NFP and our partnership with Clinique, are breaking barriers and challenging the status quo. Through this campaign and the stunning NFT makeup looks, we are proud to bring this to life in the metaverse.»
