Dolly Parton to Attend SXSW Amid Dollyverse NFT Platform Launch

La leyenda de la música country Dolly Parton está lanzando una plataforma NFT titulada ‘Dollyverse’, para acompañar el lanzamiento de su novela ‘Run, Rose, Run’ y su álbum complementario. Para promover su empresa multifacética, Parton hará su primera aparición en el festival anual South by Southwest (SXSW) con sede en Texas, que comienza la próxima semana. 

More specifically, Parton will be attending Austin City Live at The Moody Theatre, Austin, on March 18th, where she will discuss her upcoming book with co-author James Patterson, as well as perform both new and classic songs of hers.

The event will be live-streamed for free on the Dollyverse platform, which has been developed in partnership with Fox Entertainment’s Blockchain Creative Labs (BCL). In addition to viewing Parton’s SXSW performance virtually, fans will also be able to purchase limited-edition NFTs of the album, as well as a limited series of Dolly-inspired NFT artwork. There will also be NFTs given to those who engage with the event, with in-person attendees receiving a free NFT, and virtual attendees receiving tokens.

As this year’s event marks SXSW’s first-ever plunge into NFT action, BCL will be the first blockchain-sponsor of the festival. Throughout the event, participating artists, filmmakers, and brands will be able to create, distribute, and sell NFTs of their work using the SXSW x BCL NFT marketplace. 

For those wishing to get a taste of Parton’s new content as soon as it is released, make sure to pencil-in March 4th for the companion album launch, and March 7th for the launch of the book.
