The company acquired the Jaguar Racing team for about $110 million when the team’s previous owner, Ford Motor Company, announced its withdrawal from the top class of motorsport. Red Bull owns a Formula 1 subsidiary team, Scuderia AlphaTauri (known until 2019 as Scuderia Toro Rosso), based in Faenza, Italy, from which young drivers subsequently make the jump to the first team. It has been competing since 2005 and in its first two seasons raced under British license.

Although the team owes its name to the beverage company Red Bull, which in addition to being its owner is also its main sponsor, the commercial name of the team has been modified in different seasons, incorporating the name of different notable sponsors who have managed to reach an agreement with the team. The team has five Drivers’ World Championships (four for Sebastian Vettel and one for Max Verstappen) and four Constructors’ World Championships.
