Popular Hollywood actor Jim Carrey presented his first NFT artwork.

The artwork was put up for auction on the SuperRare platform an Ethereum digital marketplace and is named ‘Sunshower’.

Artist, creator, and renowned film actor Jim Carrey, unveiled his first NFT artwork, «Sunshower,» made exclusively for SuperRare, a select marketplace for Non-Fungible Token (NFT) artwork. Since 2018, the platform has facilitated nearly $300 million in «CryptoArt» transactions.

«Sunshower» was revealed on Wednesday, June 15, with a 24-hour countdown to auction start time at noon on Thursday with a starting price of $1. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Feeding America.

The 1/1 asset is currently up for auction on SuperRare and has a bid of 46.6 ETH (approximately $56,900).

According to «postsus.com,» Carrey’s digital artwork will be accompanied by an original contemplative voiceover. Originally one of Carrey’s many paintings, «Sunshower» transforms into an animated NFT. «It looks like a sunshower is giving you a divine gift,» the «Ace Ventura» actor said in a statement, «a form of medicine with miraculous regenerative potential.»

«I began experimenting with bringing my art to life through simple animations when the world of NFTs opened up. For me, there could never be enough new places to create,» Carrey said in a statement.

Carrey now spends much of his days drawing and painting. According to his statement Thursday, Sunshower is the conclusion of many years trying to digitize his art for Twitter followers and friends. He collaborated with filmmaker David Bushell to create the animation.
