Web3 NYC Gallery joins luxury retail chain that owns Fifth Avenue in Manhattan

Manhattan’s famous Fifth Avenue, its renowned chain of luxury stores and many major brands. Last week it surprised us all with a new store, an NFT gallery joined its ranks of recognized stores, as Web3 NYC Gallery opened its doors in Midtown last June 15.

Web3 NYC Gallery, the world’s first physical gallery where artists and NFT holders can purchase or rent space to exhibit their pieces, opened its doors last week in New York. So far, popular projects such as CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club, MekaVerse and Artifice have confirmed their presence at the opening.

The gallery, has partnered with NFT display pioneers Tokenframe to release a collection of 300 Genesis NFTs. Only holders of these NFTs will be entitled to display their art within the gallery.

Each NFT frame is a display that owners will be able to manage remotely. This allows anyone to manage and display their NFT artwork no matter where they are in the world. Web3 NYC Gallery touts itself as the world’s first permanent, premium NFT art gallery and marketplace.

«I think we have 20 times more NFT frames than we’ve ever had in a room before,» co-founder and CEO Nick Rotola told Decrypt.

«We took our longest wall and said, ‘This is going to be owned by the people,'» Rotola said. «People are going to have the same access to Fifth Avenue that Louis Vuitton has, and that all these big, amazing, incredible brands have. They get to be on Fifth Avenue, but so do these people.»

Gallery Functionality

Inside the gallery, visitors can scan a QR code on the frame and purchase any NFT for sale. Rotola told Decrypt that the store will have expert NFT associates available to help shoppers set up wallets and purchase artwork, and will help ensure they understand the process and don’t buy knock-off collectibles.

Some will be able to present their work on a 10-inch Collector’s Club display, others on a 21.5-inch Degen Club display or a 43-inch Alpha Club display.

As published by Nftplazas, Genesis NFT holders will not have to make any ongoing rental-like payments to have their NFTs displayed, as all they need to do is complete a one-time payment for their Genesis NFT, with NFTs related to the 10-inch screens costing from 1.5 ETH to 2 ETH and NFTs related to the 21.5-inch screens costing from 5 ETH to 10 ETH. NFTs corresponding to 43-inch screens will take a different course of action, as each is sold privately at unlisted prices.

Web3 NYC Gallery will be a space where cryptocurrencies, NFTs, art, gaming, the Metaverse and Web3 converge, a multi-billion dollar opportunity NYC Gallery is betting on, all in one place.

By operating remotely, the gallery will allow access to New York’s Fifth Avenue, the place where all luxury brands want to be. If you want to learn more about Web3 NYC Gallery, be sure to visit their official site.

For now, the only limitation for artists is that their NFT must reside on the Ethereum blockchain, however, Tokenframe plans to add support for other blockchains such as Tezos and Solana in the future, so that all new technology enthusiasts can access the exclusive benefits offered by the Gallery NFT New York from anywhere in the world.
