Director Spike Lee will release an NFT collection

The collection created in collaboration with The invisible Project invites fans of shorts films to join a new NFT community 

Legendary film director Spike Lee has just announced a collaboration with The Visible Project for the launch of a non fungible token (NFT) collection titled «Gotta Be Mars.»

According to the NFT Evening portal, «Gotta Be Mars» collection consists of 3,945 generative NFTs; rendered directly from the original 35mm cut of Spike Lee’s debut film «She’s Gotta Have It.» The foundation of each NFT will be the main character of the film, Mars Blackmon.

Details of the collection as well as its official release date have not yet been released, however, it is known that NFT holders will gain access to the community created by The Visible Project, as well as various exclusive benefits.

• Unlockable merchandise, air drops, and brand collaborations

The primary mission of this project is to create a community of moviegoers excited about Web3-driven film endorsements. The Gotta Be Mars team will also work with aspiring filmmakers to package digital releases.

“I think that to do anything in this world, to come on successfull, you have to do some research to learn about it,” Lee told  the portal Decrypt. “To just jump into something not knowing anything about it; that’s not a wise move.”
