The company founded by Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin has generated great expectations in the last hours

Yesterday, Metatheory, a technology-driven entertainment company founded by Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin, announced a $24 million Series A Round led by Andreessen Horowitz. The company expressed its gratitude to all investors, and commented on some medium and short term plans they would be working on in the near future.

Part of the funds raised will be used for investments in hiring and marketing. In the same way, through the Duskbreakers account the team commented that besides the NFT collection, they have plans to produce 2 free-to-play mini-games, a secure games launcher, two 3D animated videos and amazing lore and art.

Andreessen Horowitz led the round, with cryptocurrency firms such as Pantera Capital, FTX, Breyer Capital, Merit Circle, Global Coin research, Sfermion, Daedalus, Dragonfly Capital, and Recharge capital.

Metatheory is still a fairly new project, however, it was known last year for the launch of Duskbreakers, a sci-fi inspired interactive IP universe built on blockchain with NFTs, comics, animations, and video games.
