The first console made exclusively for NFT games announced

A console for the NFT community focused on Web3 gaming is coming soon and has not been well received so far. 

Earlier this month the Polium One console was announced which is being recognized as the world’s first console to be based on a multi-blockchain system and will be based on NFT games. According to the creators of the project, the Polium company, this console will have enough power to run «high performance» games and will be easy to use.

Polium, although it has not yet revealed all the technical details, announced through its Twitter account that the console will be launched by the end of 2024, featuring exclusive games from Web3 developers, along with other titles. Only 10 thousand will be marketed, and it will be available in pre-sale for players who buy an NFT Polium Pass in Ethereum.

From what little is known, the Polium device will offer a fingerprint reader integrated into its joysticks, which will allow access to console users. Moreover, the joystick will also feature haptic feedback (like the PlayStation controller), a touchpad, and direct access buttons to the various interfaces. The device is also expected to be able to run games in 4K and with ray tracing. 

The company specializes in Web 3 and said it will not release more details of its console until there is a fully functional model, so it has not yet announced an estimated price. It is known that among the games that could be played is Grit (the battle royale of the far west of Epic Games Store) or Decentraland (a digital world where the NFT are lots of lands). 

With the only photo that has been released, the company received several criticisms, including comments about the logo as they claim it is a copy of the 2001 GameCube logo. In addition to generating doubts about its production, when they reported that only four people are working on the console, the reaction on social networks grew even more.
